Campaign for a Northeast Ohio Worker Center

Ohio’s workers face big problems, from factory closures to wage theft. But those problems seem a little smaller when we face them together. That's why we need a worker center here in Northeast Ohio.

There are lots of opportunities to help get this project off the ground. Sign up here to learn more!

2019 Cleveland Work & Wages Conference

Six of Ohio’s 10 most common jobs pay so little a family of three would need food assistance to make ends meet.

These jobs don’t lift people out of poverty—they keep them there.

That’s why Policy Matters Ohio is hosting a daylong conference on low-wage work along with partners from The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, Neighborhood Connections, Cincinnati Interfaith Workers Center, Central Ohio Worker Center, the labor community, and others. This conference is an important step toward founding a worker center here in Northeast Ohio, built on a broad and deep understanding of the challenges facing low-wage workers.
