What: Policy Matters Ohio is releasing a new report that shows threats to Ohio’s growing health care industry from the Affordable Care Act repeal and proposed changes to Medicaid. The report highlights counties with the highest portion of private health care jobs and also contains data for all 88 counties.

A Cleveland physician and a representative of the hospital community will take part in the call.

When: 10 a.m, Tuesday, May 23, 2017

Where: Conference line: 641-715-3276 Pin: 1005721#

Background: Four of Ohio’s top 10 employers are hospitals and health care providers. With the state’s population of seniors 85 and older projected to increase by 18 percent between 2025-2035, we can expect our health care sector to continue growing. If Congress repeals the Affordable Care Act and guts Medicaid, one of the bright spots in Ohio’s economy could suffer. A new report from Policy Matters Ohio examines the growth of the health care industry and the regions most at risk.
